This is designed by Eunny Jang and is called Ivy League Vest. I think you can download it for free Ivy League Vest I did this as my project for Master Knitter Level Two and got back a lot of comments on what could have been better. I knit the second half of it on vacation and apparently had a much more relaxed gauge at that point.
Second is a lace scarf that was part of a guild series on lace knitting. The pictures don't do it justice. It has lots of tiny, sparkly beads on it.
I don't expect it to win based on last year's competition. I took first place in shawls in 2009 and didn't even place last year! Hopefully this at least gets honorable mention. I should hear back next week on how I did.
You know the drill - lots of great projects over at Tami's.
Have a great weekend with lots of time for creativity.
Wow - both are gorgeous!! I can't believe they even found anything to criticize... good luck with your entry - I would vote for you to win!
ReplyDeleteYour vest is outstanding! I don't have the patience to knit that much fair isle!!!
ReplyDeleteTHe shawl is spectacular! You have my vote as well!
Your vest and shawl are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing work. I am in serious awe of your gorgeous stranded vest.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I hope you do well in the state fair. That shawl is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYeesh, that wonder vest got "a lot" of critiquing comments? Maybe I won't try to be a master knitter after all. =D
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are truly gorgeous!
ReplyDeletewow those are both really beautiful! I especially love the vest! I have the same problem with my colorwork - I have to hurry up and knit it all at once so my gauge doesn't change too much.
ReplyDeleteThat vest is awesome - I've never tried anything fair isle, but projects like this really make me want to give it a go!
