Work in progress Wednesday

We survived the move.  We're probably 75% there.  The window treatments are being installed today; we've been living with paper on the windows.  This weekend I tackle the yarn closet - I have a great walk in closet off the loft which is my office.  My goal is that everything is unpacked by weekend after this one.
As you can see the boxes are piling up.
And I didn't get picked for jury duty.

As far as knitting, I haven't done anything on my cardigan but I did start a lace panel.  We have a side light window by the front door and I decided to make the panel to cover it.  It is Crest of the Wave which is an old Shetland pattern.  About three repeats in, I decided it needed beads, so I started them then - the top part can be the pocket for the rod.  We'll see how it turns out.  I've had this phrase stuck in my head about "a handmade life" - I'm thinking I read it in a blog.  But it got me thinking on could I make many of the textile items I use.  Time will probably be the enemy of that idea.

Hard to see the pattern or beads since I didn't bother to pin it ot and my light box is not set up.

Head over to  Tami's to see the other fiber creations.

  2. I'm sure it'll be pretty once it's blocked! Hopefully in the next few weeks you can get everything unpacked and sorted, and then it'll start to feel like home. I had paper blinds for two months in my new house before the plantation shutters were installed :)
